Loving the Fluff

My favorite mail is Fluffy Mail. I never thought I would be so obsessed with something that Grayson would poop in, but they're so addicting!! I recently received a huge shipment of custom made diapers from a fabulous WAHM on Etsy. Check out her shop HERE!!I picked out the patterns and colors and she sewed them into beautiful pieces of awesomeness! I have sewn a couple of diapers for Grayson, and they fit her well, but I'm still working on getting them just right!

The Crazies

Well it appears that the crazies have come out of hiding tonight. The hospital has been a mad-house. Crazy patients, crazy test results, crazy machines...ahhhh! Fortunately the night is almost over and I can go home to hubby and bottle of SkinnyGirl Margarita he bought me. I DVR'd Bethenny Ever After too so I guess I'll curl up with her show and her drink and have me a nice bedtime.

I'm working on a tutorial on making some festive and inexpensive wreaths for my brothers wedding in a few weeks. I keep forgetting to take pictures as I go, but I think it will still be helpful. I'll post pictures from the rehearsal dinner too (which is what they're actually for.) Between making that and the million little things I'm sewing for Grayson, I don't know which I want to do tonight. Maybe I should just take a little break and have some me-time. This probably will not happen.

Babies Love Italian

We made an impromptu trip to the Olive Garden a few nights ago. I thought we were going home, so we didn't pack Grayson any food. I decided she would just be getting what I ate and she loved it! She ate the inside out of a breadstick ( I didn't want her to have garlic breath), and I mashed up some of my pasta. I decided that she needed a new meal option at home instead of the same old beef and chicken, so I made her some pasta with meat sauce.

Pasta with Meat Sauce- Baby Style

Ingredients:
1lb ground beef (or chicken, turkey, whatever meat you like)
3 tomatoes diced
1 small onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, diced ( I used green for color)
1 cup whole grain pasta

Cook pasta until tender, strain and set aside. Using your hands mix ground beef in enough water to cover, mashing it until it's broken into very fine pieces. Boil this until beef is cooked. In a sautee pan, cook vegetables until tender. Add veggies to the pasta and mash with a potato masher or a fork, really anything to break it into small pieces. Add in ground beef. Let cool then spoon into ice cube trays. Freeze for storage until your little one gets a craving for some pasta!!

Stupid Velcro

So Grayson has learned how to undo the velcro on some of her diapers. This is just fantastic!! It's only the Happy Heinys brand so I think we're safe on the others for now, but it stinks because I LOVE their colors and prints! Nobody else has the ones they do. Half of our stash is snaps (which Hubby hates!) and the other half is velcro. Maybe the snaps will deter the diaper removal. I'm hoping that she keeps this talent of hers under wraps for a while and doesn't leave us any surprises in the living room. Ewwwww!

Her other new trick that she's doing more often is biting! She got her second tooth last week and the first one is getting taller and sharper. I have  to be more careful when feeding her with my fingers....and while nursing. Ouch!
