Hello Crafty Friends! I have soooo many projects going on right now I can hardly keep up with them! I wanted to give you an update of some things going on, and maybe you'll want to participate too.
First.... There's a few days left to enter the GIVEAWAY at
A Helicopter Mom. Win a $15 gift certificate to MY Etsy shop! You could choose Teething Pearls, earrings, headbands, or put the certificate towards a great new Carolina Breeze Bag. Click
HEREto enter.
Second: There's an awesome Sew-a-long going on at KojoDesigns . They created a great knock-off of a strapless Gap dress and they are showing us, step by step, day by day, how to put one together ourselves! I am making a purple and orange dress....it will be nice in Death Valley in Clemson on gameday! There's still time to join in! Finally....I have my lampshade finished for the U-Create craft challenge. This month the challenge was giving lampshades a makeover! I had a crappy little lampshade that has been in my possession since college, and it needed a serious facelift. Here is the finished product... Much Better! Hubby's not in love with it, but when you tell a woman with fabric and a glue gun to "decorate".... then you never know what you're gonna get! This crafting challenge ends the 29th, so there's still time to participate if you want to! (Psssst....there will be a lampshade makeover tutorial soon....stay tuned!) Have a great afternoon
Beautiful lamp shade. You would pay a fortune for one like that in a store. I love the dress in the pic. I bought a sewing machine a few years ago with intention of learning how to sew and hemming my curtains. Cut to 3 years later and the curtains still need hemming and the machine is still sparkly and unused. Enjoy seeing your projects, wish I was that crafty.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to check out some of these things! I am so glad that I have come across your blog! I am so into crafty things right now! I am always wanting to find something new to try and make to test my skills! I want to try that dress but I am so new to sewing, I am not sure how it would turn out! I am checking things out from VB! I will be back to check out new things!
