The Beautiful Mountains

Last week we took a mini-vacation to Gatlinburg, TN to spend some time in the mountains. The trip up was absolutely gorgeous, as mid October is usually the peak week for the leaves to turn.

As the elevations got higher, the fog set in.

I love the smoky mountains, from the creeks and rivers, to the rocky sided mountains, to the beautiful leaves.

You can see for miles on a clear day.

We climbed higher and higher into the mountains, seeing more colors as we drove.

Natural beauty is everywhere in these mountains. You don't have to look far for it.

Once we reached our destination, everything was beautifully decorated for fall and the fall holidays.

We made a much needed stop to the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge. If you've never been...you MUST go!

Not only is the whole place beautiful, with orchards, great buildings, and lots to see. But the food is AMAZING. Real country cooking the way it should be, and lots of it.

We had so much fun on our little road trip. More pictures to come....

Mini-Break

I'm taking a few much needed days off of work and our little family of 3 is going somewhere that looks a lot like this....

And other than the moonshine, hoping to see a lot of these....

I'm thinking of it as a sort of "babymoon",
but taking my first baby with me!

See you soon....

Clemson vs GA Tech

The Clemson vs GA Tech game always makes me nervous. You never ever know how this game is going to go. Fortunately for us this year....we pulled out a WIN! It was a great day for football.

But of course, our day of football starts long before kickoff...

Gray gets a little restless having to stay at the tailgate....so Nana always takes her for a walk.

Me and my SIS!! (Not really, but I claim her). It looks like baby definitely wanted to show in this picture too!

With Hubby, and the sea of tailgates in the background.
One day....ONE day I will get a good family shot.

Nana and Papa (aka....Mama and Deddy). I do love these two.
And bless 'em for putting up with us crazy kids.

Only a few more tailgates to go before the end of the season! Is it weird that I time/schedule my entire fall from August to December around football? I didn't think so either.
