Here are some of the current listings in the Grits & Giggles Etsy Shop and the stories behind them.....
From Sewing Patterns to fun Mommy/Baby items you'll find fun and unique items HERE!!
These are my babies! Before Grayson even started teething she was putting EVERYTHING in her mouth and chomping on it. Her favorite toy....necklaces. Especially my pearls. I wanted to make her something she could chew on safely. I had seen a similar concept online one day and decided I would tweak it and make it work for us! I handed her the finished product and she absolutely loves them!! I have several colors around the house and tied to her high chairs and stroller. They are the popular item in the Etsy shop and I'm hoping that more mommies will see them and want to try them out!
There's something vintage-looking and classic about rolled rosettes. I have so many scraps from my other sewing projects, and I hate throwing fabric away. This is a great solution! They come in many bright colors and can really spice up an outfit.
The Carolina Breeze Bag
Carolina Breeze Bag...Clemson Edition
This is another one of my babies. The Carolina Breeze bag was "born" while I was at work one day. I had just sewn my first bag, and while I liked it, I just didn't like that I had used a pattern to make it. I wanted to make a bag that was original to me, I wanted to name it, and I wanted it to be MINE! Maybe it's a little selfish, but I'm so glad I put the work into it! Several piles of paper and tape later, the pattern for MY bag was created and I had to start sewing. I was so pleased with the bag, I wanted to make a Clemson version for tailgating. I don't know that I'll be up to making a new bag design any time soon, but I love this one for now!
These headbands are another excuse for me to use my scrap pile and not throw anything away. They're so feminine and sweet and add the perfect little POP to an outfit. I love how versatile they are...you could do so many color combinations!!
These are a must-have for a summer wardrobe! Whether you're outside playing games and sports, out on the lake or by the pool, or just shopping around town, these reversible headbands are fun and totally functional, keeping your hair out of your face! I've never been much of a headband fan, but I have one of these on my head almost every day now!
